this is a good buy if yu want to keep tank away from heater or what ever yu want to hook it up to...yes it does come in three pieces..I went to local hardware store and got pipe thread sealer..didnt seem like enuff in capsul..wanted to play it safe..anybdy with a mechanical mind can assemble this with ease..I put pipe thread on all threads that called for it and snugged everything together hooked up my tank and pressure checked it no leaks at threaded areas had a small on the coupler at the tank..snugged it allitle more an was fine..it does take awhile for line to fill before I cd get the pilot to light but once it did it was perfect...ran my 20,000 btu mr heater no problem for a couple of hours..I do plan on swapping out coupler to tank...the end is kinda short where it comes out of the regulator. can get it at your local hardware or heating store..all in all Im pleased with it..gonna invest in another heater and will definatly get another one of these connections...

Works Very well and i like the long hose. If you had to buy gust the regulator alone it would cost you $30 to $40. So this is a very good deal

My Red Dragon actually has a black hose, which is better in my case. This hose is a perfect fit for my Camp Chef Del Rio Firepit. I'm using it with a black 15 ft. gas extension hose (3/8" fittings, male to female ends, no flared ends). AS IT SAYS IN THE INSTRUCTIONS, you have to SEAL certain connections with the sealer that's provided (I used plumber's teflon tape). No gas leaks and works great. Allows me to get the firepit a good distance away from the propane tank. Good price and fast shipping!
